BBC Radio 2 and Paul Jones return to "this unique and much loved event"

Following last year's inaugural visit, Radio 2 is proud to return to the Maryport Festival 2010.  The network's Blues show presenter Paul Jones, who provides the Radio 2 audience with a weekly dose of Rhythm and Blues every Monday night from 7pm-8pm, will host a Radio 2 Blues Night to be broadcast in July.  Paul will present exclusive coverage of the festival including live music from all the major artists featured on the Main Stage, including Paul Carrack, Robert Cray and Canned Heat. With backstage interviews and features about the festival, the fringe performances and the local area, Paul will bring Radio 2 listeners a true taste of this unique and much loved event.

.....and a special message from Paul Jones

"Just a quick word to let you know that I will be in Maryport for this year's blues festival - along with a crack team from BBC Radio 2 to broadcast it to the whole of the UK and beyond - and we're all looking forward to it eagerly. Last year's festival was full of memorable musical moments, but I'm expecting this year's line-up to surpass even that" Paul Jones

The Paul Jones Maryport Special will be on Radio 2 from 7-10pm on Monday 26th July.
