You need :
a tape deck
a computer with cd burner
audio recording software (windows sound recorder might even work)
a converter cable. Stereo RCA (plugs in back of tape deck to 1/8 inch jack (looks like a small headphone jack)
Plug the tape deck into the microphone jack of your computer.
open software based audio recorder. This is the trick. your computer sound card usually has bussing options. look for a microphone volume and make sure the mic buss is on. Press play on the tape and when you find the signal get a good volume and click record on the software.
