Who remembers Frankie Miller? (still recording despite a debilitating illness)

Has to be one of the greatest blues / soul / R&B singers Britain (specifically Scotland) has ever produced. And yet he never seems to get mentioned in the same breath as Winwood, Marriot or even the Rod Stewart of the early 70s

Anyone got any current news on how he is and if he's doing any current recording - "Long Way Home" is the last one I got

Frankie was a great favourite of mine in the 1970s. There was a trilogy of albums I particularly remember buying at the time, all of which I still play today.

There was the Allen Toussaint produced "Highlife", "The Rock" and "Full House". These were great then and still stand up today - simple soulful and raw. And now you can get them on CD with additional material. If you think Rod could sing a bit in the 70s, give these a listen!!
