What does everyone feel about the R&B hits series produced by Indigo Records. I believe they are produced as the songs come out of copyright (is that correct?) after 50 years. The material on the ones I've seen looks great but I'm concerned that this is just another example of R&B and blues musicians being ripped off by the record industry......am I just being naive?

It's a fair point and the history of R&B is littered with examples of black blues and R&B performers getting little or no return for the work they produced. The 50 year rule however is consistent and applies across all genres - on balance it would be a shame if this material didn't find a new audience; and Indigo in particular is putting together a fine series and doing justice to the performances
